This Helper Direct Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") discloses how Helper Direct ("Helper Direct", "us" or "we") collects, stores and handles the Personal Data of its customers.

    Helper Direct provides an online platform that facilitates the matching of Job seekers (i.e. domestic helpers) and Employers ("Services"), which Services are accessible at www.myhelperdirect.com or any other means through which Helper Direct makes the Services available (collectively, the "Site"). Users can register either as Job Seekers Member ("Helper Member") or Employers Member ("Employer Member"). Job Seeker Members can upload their profiles and post a jobseeker listing via the Site directly or by manual imput by our staff after talking to Job Seekers. Job Seeker profiles (except personal ID and contact information) are visible to both registered and unregistered users. Employers Member can upload their profiles and post a job ad. Employers profile are NOT visible on the Site.

    In this Privacy Policy, the following terms shall have the respective meanings specified below unless the context otherwise requires:

    "Employer(s)" means user who views the Job Seeker listing or places a job advertisement ("Job ad") via the Site.

    "Helper Direct" means Helper Direct and its affiliates.

    "Job Seeker(s)" means users seeking employment. (i.e. Domestic helpers)

    "Member" means a person who completes Helper Direct's account registration process, including but not limited to Employers and Job Seekers. Unless the context provides otherwise, references in this Privacy Policy to "users" or "you" include references to generic users and Members.

    "Member Content" means all Content that a Member posts, uploads, publishes, submits, transmits, or includes in their Member profile through the Site or Services.

    Where the definition of a term does not appear in this Privacy Policy, it shall be given its definition as outlined in our Terms of Service.

  2. Our Commitment to Protect Your Privacy

    At Helper Direct, we are committed to protecting your personal and data privacy. To ensure that you can make informed decisions and feel confident about supplying your Personal Data to us when using our website, mobile and other services, we provide this notice outlining our practices and the choices you have concerning how your Personal Data is being collected and used by us.

  3. The Personal Data We Collect

    We receive, store and process information, including Personal Information, that you make available to us when accessing or using our Site and Services. Examples include when you: 

    1. register as a Member, you need to provide personal information such as your name, email address, gender, nationality, contact information;

    2. post or update the details of a Job Seeker Listing, you need to provide additional information such as personal profile photo, address, job preferences, employment history, employment status, listing description;

    3. post or update the details of a Job ad, you need to provide additional information such as your location, your job requirement;

    4. access or use the Site, such as to search for a listing or post job ad;

    5. communicate with Helper Direct via our Site or by calling our telephone hotline or via instant messenger; and

    6. response to market surveys and contests conducted by us or on our behalf.

    Certain Personal Data (particularly relating to your personal information and contact information) are required for specific services and if you fail to supply such Personal Data as requested from each specific service, we may be unable to deliver you the services in full.

  4. Purpose for which the Personal Data are Collected and Used

    We may use the Personal Data you provided for one or more of the following purposes:

    1. to enable Users to access and use the Site or Services;

    2. to assist Job Seekers to find appropriate employment with Employers and to assist Employers to assess the suitability of candidates for job vacancy;

    3. to process and administer your Listing and/or job ad posting;

    4. to contact Users to follow up on a listing or job ad posted;

    5. to help create and maintain a trusted and safer environment on the Site and Services, such as detection and prevention of actual and potential fraud and other harmful activity, conducting investigations and risk assessments, enforcing our Terms and policies, verifying any identifications provided by Users, and conducting checks against databases and information sources for fraud detection and prevention, risk assessment and harm prevention purposes. In this regard, we may do any or all of the foregoing with or without further notifying Users;

    6. to send Users service, support and administrative messages, reminders, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and information requested by you;

    7. to send Users marketing, advertising, and promotional messages and other information that may be of interest to Users, including information about Helper Direct, our services, or general promotions for partner campaigns and services;

    8. to administer referral programs, rewards, surveys, sweepstakes, contests, or other promotional activities or events sponsored or managed by Helper Direct or our Third Party business partners;

    9. to comply with our legal obligations, resolve any disputes that we may have with any of our users, and enforce our agreements with Third Parties; and

    10. to operate, protect, improve and optimize the Site, Helper Direct's business, and our users' experience, such as to perform analytics, conduct research, personalize or otherwise customize Users experience, and to provide customer service;

    Except as provided below, we will not knowingly or intentionally use or share the Personal Data you provide to use in ways unrelated to the aforementioned purposes without your prior consent. 

  5. How to Access or Correct Your Personal Data

    You may request access to and correct your Personal Data held by us.  If you believe that the Personal Data relating to you which we collect and maintain is incorrect, or if you believe that the Personal Data held by us was used beyond the scope of the purpose of use disclosed above or was acquired by fraudulent or unlawful means or provided to a third party without your prior consent, please contact us at cs@myhelperdirect.com

    We may charge a reasonable fee for the processing of any data access request.

  6. Links to Other Sites

    This website contains links to other sites that are operated by third party companies with different privacy practices. You should remain alert when you leave our site and read the Privacy Policys of other websites. We have no control over Personal Data that you submit to or receive from these third parties.

  7. Cookies and Log Files

    When Users access the Site, the Site's server software will also record the domain name, server, address and track the pages Users visit and store such information in "cookies", and gather and store information like internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, the hardware and software you are using, referring and exit pages and URLs, the number of clicks, device event information, pages viewed and the order of those pages, and the amount of time spent on particular pages and clickstream data in log files. All these are done without the Users being aware that they are occurring.

    Users can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but Users can modify their individual browser settings to decline cookies if they prefer. However, Users should note that disabling cookies on their browser may prevent them from taking full advantage of the Site.

    Our Site may use social plugins which are provided and operated by Third-Parties, such as Facebook's Like Button. As a result of this, Users may send to the Third-Party the information that Users are viewing on a certain part of our Site. If you are not logged into your account with the Third-Party, then the Third Party may not know your identity. If you are logged into your account with the Third Party, then the Third Party may be able to link information about your visit to our Site to your account with them. Similarly, your interactions with the social plugin may be recorded by the Third Party.     Helper Direct generally uses such automatically collected information and data to estimate the audience size of the Site, gauge the popularity of various parts of the Site, track Users' movements and number of entries in Helper Direct's promotional activities and special events, measure Users' traffic patterns and administer the Site. Such automatically collected information and data will not be disclosed save and except in accordance with the section headed "Disclosure or Transfer of Data".

    In addition, our third party advertising companies may place cookies on some of the pages Users visit on the Site. These cookies are designed to collect non-personally identifiable information in order to analyze Users' interests and searches on our Site to help deliver more relevant advertisements when Users visit our Site and other websites.     Helper Direct posts Users' testimonials on the Site, which may contain personally identifiable information such as the Users' names. By accepting to this Privacy Policy, you has granted Helper Direct consent to post your names along with their testimonials.

    Helper Direct reserves the right to update, revise, modify or amend this Privacy Policy at any time as Helper Direct deems necessary, so Users are strongly recommended to review this Privacy Policy frequently. If Helper Direct decides to update, revise, modify or amend this Privacy Policy, Helper Direct will post those changes to this webpage and/or other places Helper Direct deems appropriate.
