Immigration new measures to avoid Job-Hopping

This new measure is to tackle Job-Hopping and the concerns about health risks posed to FDHs staying long time in boarding house facilities.

Based on the newsletter announced by Immigration on Dec 30,2020 and our enquiry to Immigration Department, no matter you are finished /  terminated /  break contract , Immigration will reject your visitor visa application to stay in HK unless you submit your new working visa appliction within 14 days from the LAST WORKING DAY of your last employment , and also SUBJECT TO the number and reasons of your previous premature contracts termination.

Normally when you go to Immigration Department to apply for visitor visa, they will not process on same day but will give you an appointment date. Please note that that DOESNT mean they approve your visa extension. Below is an example of the letter a terminated helper got on the appointment date.

For those who wanna break your contract, you should think twice before you make your decision.

For those terminated / finished, you must find a new employer as early as possible and have the application submitted within the 14days.
